Installing an EV Charger

We assess the main service panel, type of EV charger, location of installation, and provide our recommendations. We apply for the city permit on your behalf and submit all the necessary diagrams and load calculations.
Why is it important to obtain a permit to install an EV charger?
It is important for your electrical provider to assess your main service panel electrical capacity to ensure no electrical issues arise. Permits ensure the safety of life and property. They ensure the electrical work is done by a licensed electrician and that work is being done safely following all the electrical codes. Load calculations are required to ensure the consumer is not exceeding the electrical capacity of the electrical panel. If a permit is not obtained and the EV charger overloads the capacity of the electrical panel, this can cause an injury and/or seriously damage your electrical panel. You could be denied a claim by your home insurance company for being negligent in obtaining a proper permit.
